National Carers Week at CAS
This week marks National Carers Week, and at CAS Care Solutions, we are taking a moment to pause, reflect, and truly honor the remarkable people who form the very heart of our organisation — our carers.
Caring is not just a job. It’s a commitment. A calling. A way of being. And every single day, our team steps into people’s homes and lives with empathy, patience, strength, and grace. They support people during vulnerable moments, bring comfort during lonely times, and offer kindness when it’s needed most. This week, we simply want to say: thank you.
To celebrate, we’ve added a few thoughtful touches around the office — cupcakes, doughnuts, extra snacks and treats — a small gesture to recognize the big hearts behind the work. But what touched us even more deeply was the heartfelt feedback we received from clients and their families when we invited them to share a few words about the carers who support them.
The responses reminded us why we do what we do.
“Diego is exceptional – he anticipates needs and is truly empathetic. What a star!”
This simple sentence says so much. It’s not just about providing care — it’s about noticing, understanding, and responding before a word is even spoken.
“We really appreciate and applaud the care of Magdalena. She is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, kind, and caring. We feel extremely fortunate that she works with Louise.” – Shirley
Magdalena’s blend of professionalism and warmth reflects everything we stand for at CAS — experienced, skilled care delivered with true compassion.
“Pia has been a real help. She understands Steve’s problems and helps to monitor him. Having someone in contact with him regularly who knows his needs is such a relief to me — especially as I’m managing health challenges of my own. I can’t thank her enough.” – Jasmine
This is the invisible strength carers bring — not only to the individual, but to the entire family. The peace of mind that someone is there, who truly knows and cares, is priceless.
“All of the carers are good and professional, and they meet expectations. But Scottie really responds to certain carers — Simba, Sam, Bernard, and some of the ladies like Lynn and Patience. These carers bring stories and conversation, alongside personal care. This helps keep Scottie calm and engaged, reducing anxiety and making the visits something to look forward to.”
Care isn’t just about routines — it’s about relationships. Storytelling, laughter, familiar voices — these are the things that stay in someone’s heart long after a visit ends.
“Your carers who come to assist Brian are always friendly, polite, and chatty. It’s not been easy for them, especially with all the road closures and repairs, but they still arrive with a smile. Their morning visits brighten his day — and mine. We’ve missed the girls and their amazing hairstyles! Ella, who visits on Friday mornings, always goes the extra mile. When Brian was recently unwell, she noticed and followed up, showing genuine care and concern. That meant so much.”
This message sums it all up: consistency, connection, humour, and humanity. It’s in the little things — noticing changes, remembering a hairstyle, braving traffic — that the deepest impact is made.
As we reflect on this week, we feel so proud to have a team that not only delivers high-quality care but also leaves lasting impressions on the people they support. Their work is emotional, physical, and often challenging — yet they show up day after day with strength and warmth.
To every carer at CAS Care Solutions — thank you. You are not just part of a workforce. You are part of someone’s life story. And that’s something truly extraordinary.
Let’s continue to celebrate each other, support each other, and keep raising the standard of care — not just this week, but every single day.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The CAS Care Solutions Team
