Ben is a highly experienced care professional with a strong background in delivering frontline care across a variety of settings. Ben is passionate about empowering carers with the skills and confidence they need to provide safe, dignified, and person-centred support.
Why Training Matters
High-quality training is the foundation of safe, confident, and effective care. In health and social care settings, the people we support rely on us not only for compassion, but for competence. The right training ensures that every member of a team understands how to deliver care that is safe, dignified, and aligned with best practice.
But training isn’t only about meeting standards—it’s about protecting people. Whether it’s recognising early signs of deterioration, responding quickly in an emergency, preventing infection, or maintaining a safe environment, skilled staff can make the difference between a positive outcome and a preventable incident.
At CAS Training Solutions, we believe training should empower people. While our focus is on the care sector, many of the skills we teach—such as Health & Safety, First Aid, Fire Safety, and Infection Control—apply to any workplace. These essential courses promote safer environments, reduce risks, and give individuals the confidence to act decisively and responsibly, regardless of industry.
Investing in training is investing in people. It builds stronger teams, improves service quality, and ultimately enhances the wellbeing of those who depend on your organisation. Our role is to ensure that every learner leaves us not only knowledgeable but equipped to make a real impact.
Training Formats Offered
At CAS Training Solutions, we understand that effective learning happens in different ways for different people. That’s why we offer a range of flexible, engaging training delivery methods designed to suit every setting and learning style.
In-Home Training Sessions
We bring the training to you.
Our in-home training is fully customised to each client’s needs, allowing teams to learn within their own environment. This hands-on approach ensures that skills are taught in the exact setting where they will be used, supporting confidence, consistency, and real-world application. It’s ideal for individuals employing their own carers, live-in care teams, or services needing bespoke on-site support.
Training at Our Office Centre
A professional space for focused learning.
Our dedicated training centre provides a structured, distraction-free environment equipped with all the resources needed for practical, interactive learning. This setting is perfect for group sessions, accredited courses, and training that requires specialised equipment or demonstration.
VR-Based Training Sessions
Immerse yourself in learning.
Our virtual reality training offers a powerful, memorable way to understand complex care experiences—especially dementia. Learners can step into a simulated reality that replicates the sensory and cognitive challenges faced by individuals living with dementia. This immersive approach helps deepen empathy, improve communication, and support more person-centred care.

He explained everything clearly, kept us involved throughout, and made the content easy to understand and apply. I’d definitely recommend their training to anyone looking to build their skills!”
The VR Dementia Experience
Step Into Their World. Understand Dementia Like Never Before.
At CAS Training Solutions, we believe that truly understanding dementia requires more than reading a textbook or listening to a lecture. To provide compassionate, person-centred care, caregivers need to feel what it is like to live with dementia — the confusion, the sensory overload, the communication barriers, and the emotional impact of a constantly changing reality.
Our Virtual Reality Dementia Experience lets learners do exactly that.
We immerse participants in a realistic simulation that mirrors the sensations, challenges, and frustrations that individuals with dementia face every day. This unforgettable experience allows carers to see through the eyes of the people they support — and to return to their work with deeper empathy, stronger insight, and truly enriched care skills
Why VR Training Matters
It builds true empathy — not just understanding
Traditional training teaches what dementia is. VR training shows you how it feels. Participants experience first-hand the sensory confusion, memory difficulty, and environmental challenges that shape a person’s behaviour.
It transforms the quality of care
Many carers report immediate changes in the way they communicate, approach tasks, and support individuals living with dementia after a single session.
It strengthens teams
Sharing a powerful, emotional experience helps teams connect and fosters a more compassionate, unified approach to dementia care.
It’s immersive, realistic, and backed by evidence
VR-based learning is proven to increase knowledge retention and emotional understanding far more effectively than passive learning methods.
What Learners Experience
Our VR session may include:
- Sensory overload (bright lights, visual disturbances, background noise)
- Cognitive confusion and difficulty recognising objects or instructions
- Disorientation in familiar environments
- Frustration, anxiety, or fear during everyday tasks
- Challenges in communication and perception
- Simulated moments of confusion, agitation, or memory loss
These scenarios reflect real-life experiences of individuals living with dementia and are designed to help carers respond with patience, compassion, and confidence.
Who the VR Experience Is For
- Professional carers and support workers
- Nurses and clinical staff
- Family caregivers
- Care home and domiciliary care teams
- Students and trainees entering the care sector
- Anyone aiming to enhance their understanding of dementia
How We Deliver VR Training
- At our training centre
- At your workplace or care setting
- As part of a full dementia training package
Our trainers guide participants through the simulation, facilitate a reflective debrief, and translate the learning into practical steps for improved care.
A Training Experience That Stays With You
The VR Dementia Experience isn’t just training — it’s a moment of realisation. Many learners describe it as eye-opening, emotional, and transformative. It shifts perspectives, encourages empathy, and empowers carers to provide more sensitive, person-centred support.
This is not just a unique selling point for CAS Training Solutions — it’s a commitment to raising standards in care through truly meaningful learning.
Ongoing & Refresher Training
Ongoing & Refresher Training
High-quality care doesn’t come from a single training session — it comes from continuous learning. At CAS Training Solutions, we are committed to supporting carers and organisations long after the initial course has been completed.
Our Ongoing and Refresher Training ensures that skills stay sharp, knowledge remains up to date, and teams continue to deliver safe, confident, and high-quality care.
Why Ongoing Training Matters
Legislation, best practice guidance, and industry standards constantly evolve. Regular refresher training gives carers the opportunity to:
- Reinforce key skills and principles
- Update their knowledge in line with current regulations
- Refresh confidence in practical tasks
- Maintain compliance with CQC and organisational requirements
Consistency helps protect both the people receiving care and the staff providing it.
Flexible Training Frequency
We work with organisations to create a training schedule that fits their needs. Many clients choose:
- Annual refresher courses
- 6-monthly updates for high-risk training (e.g., medication, moving & handling)
- Quarterly skills top-ups for developing teams
Whether you need a one-off update or a long-term rolling program, we’ll build a plan that keeps your team fully competent and compliant.
Access to Updated Materials
To support continual development, we provide:
- Up-to-date course content reflecting the latest best practice
- Digital resources and handouts accessible after training
- Optional quizzes and micro-learning tools to help reinforce knowledge
- Trainer support for questions or clarification
Learners stay supported — even after the session ends.
A Commitment to Lifelong Learning
Our goal is to help carers grow with confidence throughout their careers. With regular refresher training, teams are better equipped, more consistent, and more prepared to meet the complex and changing needs of the people they support.
At CAS Training Solutions, continuous development isn’t an optional extra — it’s a fundamental part of who we are.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
Accredited & Compliant Training
Our training is delivered by an Oliver McGowan accredited trainer and follows Skills for Care frameworks and the Care Certificate standards. We are also registering 10 courses for CPD accreditation, ensuring learners gain recognised professional development.
All courses are designed to meet CQC workforce development requirements, giving you confidence in both the quality and compliance of your training.
